چکیده

The N-heterocyclic ligand in the title compound, [Cu(NCS)(C(15)H(13)N(5)S(2))](n), coordinates to the Cu(I) atom through its pyridine N-donor site, and adjacent metal atoms are bridged by the thio-cyanate ion, forming a helical chain along the b axis. The geometry of the metal atom is tetra-hedral owing to a somewhat long intra-molecular Cu-S inter-action of 2.5621 (9) Å.

The title compound, [Cd(NCS)(2)(C(6)H(5)N(5))(2)](n), is a coordination polymer with the Cd(II) centre located on a twofold rotation axis. The Cd(II) centre assumes a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The thio-cyanate anions function as bridging ligands between the Cd(II) centres, leading to a chain-like arrangement expanding along [001].

In the title crystal structure, [Cd(NCS)(NO(3))(C(11)H(9)N(5))](n), the unique Cd(II) ion is coordinated in a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal environment. The axial thio-cyanate ligands act in a μ(1,3)-bridging mode to connect symmetry-related Cd(II) ions into one-dimensional chains along [010].
